VINTAGE VIGNETTES

19 January 2011

For this vintage vignette, I searched for a gorgeous Scandinavian hunk of wood-credenza to act as an anchor for the bits and bobs on top. When I'm styling a vignette, I like to imagine that I'm designing a neighborhood with houses, buildings, animals, trees, friends, Beatrice, and many mountains. That way, it allows the objects to start interacting with each other, and form a story. It's a lotta fun and I could do this all day.

Print - Ky Anderson / Letter set W / Teak Candleholders / GE Clock / Print - Amy Ross / Yellow Bike / Danish Wood Man / Black Porcelain Glove / Scandinavian Credenza / Chevron floor

Great image. Did you make this in some kind of app or DIY in Photoshop?

I wish I could get your help tricking out my new Room and Board 10 drawer Grove dresser: http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/product/detail.do?productGroup=3094&catalog=room&category=rm_bedrooms&subcategory=dresser

CEZ - Thanks! Yeah, those candle holders will go with anything.

CHRIS - I used good ol Ps to make this vignette, pretty easy if the photos have nice, clean background. Btw, your new R&B dresser is beautiful. Any of these goodies will look great with it. Have fun styling! Just holla if you need a little help.

Gah, this is gorgeous! And that credenza?? To die for. Hm... if I had $2000 to burn, I would be ALL. OVER. IT.

Thanks for the inspiration, Dabito!
