It's been pretty bleak out there at the thrift stores, or should I say, op shops, as my fellow friends from Oz calls them. Since there's nothing worth salvaging and even my gal,
Crystal will agree with you—bahumba! Don't fret, I never get bored around here. I took some time to tweak the sideboard and wanted to share some
before, before adventures with you, too. I noticed I never leave out my favorite owl man or that yellow clock, so I'll try to shake things up drastically next time around.
Alright, have a fantastic, thrifty weekend adventure, my vintage vultures!
I like Dec 2010 the best -- not that I don't like Feb 2011!
ReplyDeleteI love Dec 2010 best too! That yellow clock is great!
ReplyDeleteHave a BRILL weekend, Dab!
Oh that was a terrific time travel! I love that wood lamp.. You got all mod Feb 11. : ) Have a terrific weekend Dabito!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for the shout out, you are too too sweet. Now let's get back out there and find some treasures! Our luck is bound to change soon. Happy Thrifting!
ReplyDeleteCOCOPUFF1212 - Thanks and I agree with ya. Dec2010 is my fave too.
ReplyDeleteWILL - Yeah, it's a great clock. You have a brill weekend too!
CHANTALEP - I know, Feb11 is different and I just noticed that I have a heart up and it's Valentine's. It was totally subconscious!
ERIN - Thank you.
CRYSTAL - You are too welcome. Let's do it! Oh, are you going to the Rose Bowl by any chance? I figure I might give it a shot since I haven't found anything lately.
Man, I wish! I have to work all weekend :-(
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I have never been to a flea market before but I bet it's amazing. I think it will be just the thing to break our streak of bad thrifting luck. Have fun!
Fun - old is new when you rearrange. I am currently playing musical chairs with rugs and it really does refresh each room as if you went out shopping. Love the documentation process. Would say Dec was my fave.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
ReplyDeletethe post just rocked my world. love, love the time line concept, and each of these setups has such charm. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteLooking good February! I love your sideboard arrangements. Have an equally sweet weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love this post soooooooo much. You capture what a home is. Ever moving:-)
ReplyDeleteThis is great. And I LOVE this month! The new print and that lamp are awesome!
ReplyDeleteCan't even pick a favorite, every single one is packed with interesting bits! Good luck in your next thrifting endeavor!

I love December's look best! Boredom leads to wonderful things sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I think we suffer from the same disorder! I literally walk around my house looking for nooks to re-arrange even if its just one little detail. I framed a kitchen tea towel the other day to replace an existing artwork on my living room side board...I know, bored much??
ReplyDeleteJo
ps. 'Op shop' I love it! Good to see you embracing your inner Aussie ;D

LOLA LOVELY - It's so much fun to rearrange, right?! I've been thinking of framing one of my tea towels too. And you're right, I'm completely letting my inner Aussie out! I just love the use of Op shop.
ReplyDeleteSARAH STUPENDOUS - Thank you. I need all the luck I can get! The thrifts have been so blah lately.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! Every month is my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me more about the heart print from February?
http://howiwastetime.wordpress.com/
howiwastetime Thank you so much, and welcome to my thrifty funhouse! The Heart print is by Henri Matisse. I found it at the thrifts a few months ago but you can buy it from several poster print sites and even Amazon. Hope that helps. See ya around!
