HAPPY FRIDAY FINDS : B O O K S

06 May 2011

<

I desperately need to get back on the reading rainbow. Last year, I read a little more than 15 books and was so proud of myself but I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't opened a single one so far. Maybe I'll read another Tom Robbins or Haruki Murakami. Still Life was awesome so I was excited to find Even Cowgirls Get The Blues from a used bookshop along with Murakami's Dance Dance Dance. Either way, I'm finding some reading time.

Have a spectacular weekend my vintage vultures!

  13. oh, in case you didn't already know: 'dance dance dance' is a sort of sequel to 'a wild sheep chase'!

  14. Murakami is my favorite! Best book in life: The Wind Up Bird Chronicle. A Wild Sheep Chase and Dance, Dance, Dance are close followers. I bet you would like Walter Mosley's Easy Rawlins series as well. He writes beautifully and paints a vivid picture of old time Los Angeles.

  15. oh baby, if you EVER wanna talk books, i am your girl. haruki m is FAB and, just glancing above, walter mosley's non-serial "the man in my basement" is also fab (in case, like me, you aren't into serial detective tomes).

  16. @ Andrea Gotcha, I'll make sure to read Wild Sheep Chase first.

@ Megan Ohh...I'll have to check out Walter Mosley's series. Thanks!

@ Blissful Chick Oh, we should start a book club. I do love detective tomes. We'll have to chit chat some more. Hope all is well!
