KITCHEN CONCOCTIONS : ROSEMARY ICE CREAM SANDWICH

04 May 2011

Herbs in your ice cream? Que loca! Trust me, this is the yummiest treat. And all you need is creamy vanilla, a sprig of rosemary and two oatmeal raisin cookies. Simple and delicious. I remember vividly the first time I had rosemary in my ice cream, it was from Capogiro in Philly and it was sensational! Instead of daydreaming about it, I worked up this little recipe for y'all. I already had two, so enjoy!

@ SJ You should have some now. No need to wait for the weekend. :) I've been shoveling icecream down my throat past few days. It's been so hot in my apt. Last checked, it was 84 F! Whew. Hope it's cooler on your end.

@ Banana meet-cute How perfect! Now you have to try it and let me know how it tastes!

  15. One of my favorite sorbets while working in a restaurant was lemon thyme, but I've never heard of using rosemary in ice cream. Sounds delicious!

  17. Sounds amazing! I find rosemary earthy but refreshing so cold vanilla ice cream with those spicy, earthy oatmeal cookies? How could that be a bad combo?! But, not one I'd thought of so *thank you*! :)
