This calls for a momentous celebration because the New York state senate passed the same-sex marriage bill! Another down and about 40 more pins to go. And this couldn't have come at a better time. Happy Pride everyone!

A great day! Now for the rest of the world to follow suit...
ReplyDelete:) this post makes me happy.
ReplyDelete!!! :))) (no words necessary...)
ReplyDeletej.
What beautiful people and a beautiful photo. Yay New York!!
ReplyDeleteAnd high time, too! It's a baby step (so many States to go!) and a giant step (so many devoted relationships finally "recognised")in the right direction..
ReplyDeleteThat top photograph is so beautiful.
Hooray! And indeed, now the rest of the world has to follow. (I am so happy I live in a country where same-sex-marriage has officially been recognized as equal for years now.)
ReplyDeletesuch wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteIt really is fantastic news. I wish it had happened sooner; my sister had to go out of state to get married last year. Regardless, we are still happy beyond belief!
ReplyDeletewonderful news and such wonderful photos! joy :)
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful things that I never thought I would see happen in my lifetime keep happening! It gives me hope for our world. Congratulations everyone!
ReplyDeletehappy pride indeed! being from california & very pro gay marriage, this is such a hot topic for me. thankfully, other states are making progress!!!
ReplyDeleteVery good news indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday!!!!
smiles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletehooray :)
ReplyDeleteI'm bursting into joyful tears! You guys are the best! Thank you for all your support. :D
ReplyDeleteOn one hand I am happy and on the other I still feel like this is long overdue. Government needs to get out of peoples love/personal lives. I am especially disgusted with California and the whole prop 8 mess. California is so broke/stupid! If they were smart they'd think about how much revenue weddings bring in. Stimulate the economy and the state will benefit.
ReplyDelete@ Paper Pastries I hear ya, sistuh! California is pretty fucked up for pulling the plug on same sex marriage but I know they'll come around some day. Keepin' my chin up :)
ReplyDeleteIt IS a great moment. I read a great quote yesterday that made me laugh because it was tongue in cheek: "Yesterday I was a confirmed bachelor, today I'm an old maid!" That was a rather funny quote...hope you had fun at DOD...
ReplyDeleteI love how the Empire State building went rainbow! Gives me goosebumps.

The BEST news. Let's hope more (many more) follow suit.
ReplyDeletei was so happy when i saw this over the weekend! and then it made me incredibly frustrated that australia is dragging its feet so much on this issue. I can only hope that many more states and country will follow and it won't even be an issue anymore, it will just be the norm.
ReplyDelete@ Allan Hilarious! DOD was a lotta fun. My first time working a booth there. Met a lot of people. Wish you came out.
ReplyDelete@ Sécia Yes! That was pretty spectacular!
@ Will Worrrd!
@ SJ Yep! I can't wait when that happens. It's gonna be awesome.
Hooray for you, for NY state, for diversity, equality and love! :)
