KILIM

15 June 2011

Finally, a new rug! It took me two hours to find this kilim at the flea market. It's the perfect size and adds a nice touch to the living room. Crossing fingers, toes and eyes Beatrice doesn't sabotage it. Here are a few before photos: one + two + three.

so good!

2 hours, eh? that's pretty awesome.

i've been looking on eBay for 2 years!

granted, i'm super frugal and don't like red in my house (much) so that eliminates like 85% of all kilim rugs...but i really need to bite the bullet and just choose one. even IF it means we'll be eating elbow macaroni and drinking water every night for 2 months.

Great find; you've worked it into the space like a little decorating rockstar! Please can you hop across the pond and teach me some photography skills?

P.S. I love that B takes center stage, she's such a star!

Congratulations! I know you've been looking for one forever. To answer your question about the self imposed sabbatical: I have no idea! I need to recharge a bit more. I was getting burned out and irritated by shoppers. :( Hope you're having still having a great week.

Heh, yeah. 2 years. Mostly because my job pays the most meager amount everrrr and I'm trying to pay off a new car & some other stuffs. BUT I know that a sweet rug is in my future.
