Welcome to my side of the bed. I always get the window seat because my heartmate wants to be as far and away from the cold breeze that shoots through those 1930's windows. Yeah, he's a baby, but babies are cute, so whatever baby wants, baby gets! I wish I could show you what's on the other side right now because it's all kinds of disaster. Let's just pretend it mirrors this. The dipped side table is from West Elm. It's a great looking piece. I love the legs and the exposed wood. And it's on sale right now! I'm thinking of getting another one for the other side.
Sedum Rubrotinctum succulent / Teak candleholders from the Rose Bowl flea / Pillow by Dorothy Jeanne

so beautiful, clean and simple. No clue that there's a mess on the other side ;). I'd love to know what kind of plant is that you have? I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove that first shot. So simple, so beautiful.
ReplyDelete@ Julia Thanks, Julia! I think the plant is a Sedum Rubrotinctum. It's definitely a sedum of something. Could also be a Jelly bean Sedum, too. Those wild succulents all look so similar so it's hard to tell sometimes. :)
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful beautiful light! & details so perfectly captured, as per usual.

So perfect and so beautiful! And your succulents are very beautiful. ;) There's something about succulents, isn't it? :))
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Unfortunately, it's always my side of the bed that's a complete disaster. I admire your cleanliness!
ReplyDeleteAs a classic biologist-student and plants-freak i have eyes only for this beauty over there!! So fresh and green! l.o.v.e. it!! ;)

That side table makes me swoon - so does the abundance of natural light in your bedroom! Adorable!!
ReplyDeletewow...i love how simple your home is! we only have 700 square feet, so no matter how we move things around, it always looks slightly cluttered and squished. Kind of cozy i guess?
ReplyDeleteSo perfectly sweet and clean. Photographically the pops of red and green just make it for me. :) Jealous of those giant windows too! That's one huge plus for an older home in LA.
ReplyDeleteLove the side table!
ReplyDeleteSimple, clean and beautiful! I really like. Just like these photos
ReplyDeleteWe completely agree with Igor .... the natural light in the room is just wonderful. Love the lil' toy bus on top of the headboard - we have miniature vehicles dotted around the place at chez chairsmith too!
ReplyDeleteThat's it, I'm coming over.
ReplyDelete@ We Three Zweigs Yes, please! Come on over and bless my home with your camera magic. :D
ReplyDeleteOMG that tiny wall detail is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteHEY! That's my side *pushes*
ReplyDelete(cute sidetable!)
I love the blurry photo of the window with the white curtains, so dreamy! Sleeping on the cooler side pays off I guess, when you see this!
ReplyDeletewhat a great little table. Should we just start dip painting everything?
ReplyDeleteWILL — Why...you...! ;D
ReplyDeletelove this nightstand...and I just checked online too-amazing price!
ReplyDeleteyour home looks beautiful.
Oh. Dabs. Your home(s) always look so calm and peaceful and make me wonder why my shizz is always in hectic piles. Gor-juss as usual. In a twitchy- eye jealous way. Ha!
ReplyDeletei just discovered your blog (and it's lovely).
ReplyDeleteseeing your beautiful west elm side table reminded me that i've wanted one forever.
and then you said they were on sale! unfortunately, they don't ship to canada (i live in vancouver).
damn.
so that just meant i had to head down to seattle for a couple of days with my sister to do some shopping.
we left about 3 hours later.
they had one table left and now it's mine.
yay!
