Our dirty dishes were piling up for about three weeks and I wanna blame it on our busy schedules, but really, we're just blaaah-lazy. Well, I certainly didn't want to tackle this mountain of grime alone, so I thought of a game for my heartmate. Each time one of us enters the kitchen, we have to wash one thing. It could be a plate, a spoon, or one chopstick. And if the other person forgets to wash something, which I've been pretty good at calling him out on, then he'll have to wash two more. After a night full of taking turns pointing fingers, I was able to see the bottom of the sink again. Sweet success! See, doing dishes is totally fun! Hopefully this will keep our small kitchen clean.

You're hilarious, I can imagine how this went. ;) And it might be a good idea for us..
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I think I need to come up with some sort of game like this to get my special dearie to help out with our dishes!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I stumbled across your blog! Your photos are beautiful, and I love your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously ingenious of you.
ReplyDeleteWe'd be happy to pop round anytime and do the dishes, all you have to do is ask!
ReplyDeleteHaha, we make games out of things we don't want to do, too!
ReplyDeleteIf I tried suggesting this to my husband, one of two things would happen. 1. He'd lose 5 pounds because he'd never go in the kitchen any more. 2. He'd gain 5 pounds because he'd bring all the snacks to the living room at once.
I'll be back with the full report to let you know how it pans out. Ha! Pans! Okay I need my coffee.
Fabulous photo, Dab! Your blog keeps surprising me every day!! Love it!
