HARP CHAIR

17 April 2012

This is happening, guys! The harp chair I've been drooling over forever is finally mine! Well, it actually belongs to a lovely friend but he's getting ready to move to the east. Since he knows how much I love sculptural pieces, he wants me to keep it for him till he returns, which I'm counting on never! *evil laughs* The chair is from Anthropologie from a few years ago. It's obviously a ripoff of Jørgen Høvelskov's Harp Chair from the 60s. It's still gorgeous and it's surprisingly more comfortable than it looks. It's like half harp and half praying mantis which is perfect for all my plants. My living room is now complete!

  4. i follow a bunch of scandinavian blogs with that kind of design that makes me cry for some white floors, but then i have this small apartment in lisbon and there is no way that style to be implemented because that's not how i feel my own house. and then i look at your living-room and feel that this is the kind of room i enjoy for real, with a soul, with character, with things that seem to have a story behind it. with earthy tones! i really love this! and now one other thing... what is it with the pillows on the floor? you're killing me! i love that comfortable look... but i have dog that is not like yours and it's spring, know what that means, right? so basically that is not even a possibility around here! (whow longest comment here, sorry!)

  9. TWIGGS — Thanks for leaving such a thoughtful comment. I'm so happy you enjoy the living room. But I do feel you about all those pretty Scandinavian homes with white walls and white floors and white white white everything. I love it but I love color, layers, and pattern even more. My dog Beatrice is a shedding machine. We have to comb her with a brush everyday to minimize it but it still gets everywhere. I love pillows on rugs. I enjoy reading magazines on the floors and then take a little afternoon nap. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. See you around!
